Pastel Polka Dot French Nails

Hi all! I know it's not Manicure Monday >_<;;; But my school just opened again, and my scheduling is a bit different this quarter. So I think I might have to change to Tuesday as my start of the week!

Anyways lets get down to the goodies!

This weekend I picked up some cute new polishes from Wet n Wild Megalast Collection: Candy-licious/Rose bonbon (209C) and I Need a Refresh-Mint (218A) and had some fun!

They were just such sweet colors IMO I had to go back to doing something girly again :3
I was kinda digging my Mod nail phase, but alas it has temporarily come to an end. If you can consider 2 manis a Phase either way >_>;;;

But really, who can say no to some sugary colors and dots right? Throw in some glitter and Bam you're set! Feminine and frilly to the max. I just wish I had some deco bows to attach! Would be perfect Sweet Lolita Nails in a flash!

I had actually seen a similar Mani in a Japanese Nail Mag at one point, and always thought I wanted to duplicate it. Of course theirs was much more fancy with sculpted lace and bows. *g* Maybe one day I can get deco nails. Like for my wedding! XD

These French Nails are actually pretty simple to do. I just paint about half way down my finger tips and go back in with an acetone soaked Q Tip to create the clean curve. I then used some glitter clear coat and a toothpick to line the edges.

Lacquer List
Wet n Wild - Candy-licious/Rose bonbon
Wet n Wild - I need a Refresh-Mint
Nicole by OPI - Scandal Secrets & Sparkle

I love their new bottle and brush designs! Makes this line of lacquer look way more classy than the $1.99 price tag :P They even did the fancy side embossing of the glass, like on Essie bottles! :P You can kinda see it between my finger tips.

I know this one wasn't too fancy, but I hope you all enjoyed! While those more edgey nails usually took me less time, I think I definitely enjoy the look of Fruff more <3

Thanks for Reading!

Saharan Color-Block Manicure

Hi all! Hope you didn't think I wouldn't make it! Cuz here I am with my Manicure for the week! ^_^

Even though I had a busy weekend, and an even busier week so far
I'm glad I was able to come up with something to share with you all <3
So here is my take on the Trendy Colorblock!

This was kind of a fluke actually. Originally I had plan to do some fancy dots, bows and bling over this three layer cake, but once I had it done I fell in love!!!

The simplicity of it all was really appealing to me, which is unusual since my taste is known to be a little over the top. But this color combo, of the pale pearlescent pink, deep dark raspberry, and almost neon coral color was too perfect to mar with extra distractions.

I think these colors worked so well with this minimal mani. It just oozes sophistication with a hint of playfulness in the pop of coral.

So simple to boot! I just painted on the light pink and let it dry. Then I went back over the top half with the corally color. Once that was completely dry, I used tape to section off the middle portion and laid in my darker band.

Lacquer List:
Chanel  Le Vernis - Le Perle
China Glaze - Evening Seduction
Essie - Tart Deco

I know, most people can probably do this without tape guides. But I'm just so anal it would bother me to no end >_>;;; Also I think, the crisp lines add to that Mod Look.

So I hope you all enjoyed this look. Lately I've been going more simplistic over fruffy. I wonder how long that trend will last. ^^;

What about you all? Do you prefer simple and clean or deco galore
when it comes to your finger tips?
I'd love to know!

Easter Bunny Spring Nails & Tutorial

Hiyo! I'm really proud of the manicure I have for you all today!
I know I've only been posting swatches lately and I started to guilty that I hadn't done any nail art.
But since we are having a little Easter Egg Hunt at work this weekend, I figure I might as well get into the spirit of things and go all out! :D

So I present to you a fun and fresh Spring inspired Easter Bunny Manicure set!

I had a lot of fun coming up with this look. And was trying to go for an egg inspired decoration theme. Throw in some bunny rabbits, paw prints and then voila! Done!

Here is a close up of my two favorite nails! Out of all the rabbits I did, this little guy is by far my favorite. I think it was all the practice on my right hand :P  Also if you guys are interested, I did an easy Bunny Rabbit Nail Art Tutorial here for you so that you can have this cutie too!

I also really loved how these flowers turned out. This is my second time trying out this style. You can check out my first Floral Attempt here at my St. Patty's Day Nails.

Finally the last two nails, For my ring finger I went with a fun Easter Egg Design with Stripes and Dots. And then I added some diagonals with a toothpick to pull it all together.

My Lacquer List for this Look

Base coat from Left to Right:
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails - No hard Feelings
Sally Hansen InstaDri - Blue-Away
Sally Hansen InstaDri - Pink Blink

Accent Colors:
Pa. Dark Pink Sparkle AA20 for the Floral Centers
Sephora by OPI - Never Enough Shoes for Eyes
Sephora by OPI - A-ha! Moment for the Flowers, Rabbits, Stripes & Dots
Pa. Light Pink Sparkle A116 for the Bunny Cheeks

Also, I threw together a cute little Picture Step - by - Step tutorial for you on how to do the Bunny!
It was really easy and turned out way cuter than I expected. I just used my dotting tool for the most part with varying pressure.

Well I hope you all enjoy this look! Anyone else getting Festive Fingers for this weekend? I'd love to see too! I'm more into painting Nails than Eggs it seems :P

Thanks for Dropping by and pleas share if you try out the Bunny!

Valentine's Day Manicure – Cracked & Konad

Hello all! This is the last of my little Valentine's Day Mani series. And the one I'll actually be sporting on that special day. (Which I'm actually doing nothing for ~_~;;; )

I wanted to do something fun and festive so I opted for a different look on each nail.

This look definitely screams Valentine's day to me and I wish I had done it for the Vday part we had at work. :P

I might have gone a little overboard. These nails have everything from nail stamps, polka dots, and even crackled polish! I really didn't hold back. Well I guess I left out the crystals :P

I used a rich red lacquer, OPI for Sephora – Personal Shopper, for my thumbs, pinky fingers and the free hand heart on my index. Then I painted Sally Hansen – Pink Blink on my ring and index fingers. I also used it to stamp Konad M59 and M56 and do the polka dots over the white, A-ha! Moment, on my middle finger. I finally finished off with China Glaze – Broken Hearted crackle, a gorgeous Hot Pink just fit for the occasion!

Well I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day! And I can't wait to see what looks you all have been sporting for the Day of Hearts!

Pink Petit Four Mani w/ Tape Tutorial

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I missed my usually Monday post, but I have a really fun manicure to make up for it! :D

Inspired by some delicious treats and just in time for Valentine's Day I give you the Pink Petite Four scotch tape manicure! :D

Okay so the right terminology might actually be Checker Cookies and not Petite Four...but Pink Checker Cookie Mani just doesn't sound as cute IMO. So I am sorry for misleading you! v_v;;; I mean there’s four squares...does that count for anything!?

Either way, don't they look delicious? ^_^ I'm super pleased with how this turned out, even if it was way more work than I had originally anticipated.

So I started off with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: Pink Blink and let dry completely! This is super important, otherwise when you go to put down the scotch tape it will smudge your base coat. I think I waited around 3 - 5 minutes just to be safe.

I then tore off small sections of tape and cut those in half. This left me with good sized strips to block off the first square on my nails. I then went through taping & painting this first square onto each of my fingertips. Remember to press firmly along the tape edges so you get a crisp line.

For the chocolate color I used OPI for Sephora – Studs & Stilettos, pictured above, in relatively thin, fast coats. You don't want to use too much polish while blocking off, or else things will get messy when you try to pull up the tape.

I also found it helpful to peel the tape off right after you lay down the polish instead of waiting for it to dry completely. This not only gave a cleaner line but also some time to swipe up any polish that leaked under the tape with a q-tip dabbed in acetone.

Once the first round of quartering was finished on both hands I went back in to add the second square. By now the first finger I had painted was dry enough for me to restart the process again. Just be careful to line up your tape with the edges of the first chocolate square you painted.

I ended up adding some faux pearls and crystals in the center and Voila you're done! ^_^

Hope you enjoyed this sweet manicure and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below :D

Thanks!

Pink Leopard Mani on the Prowl

Hi All! I have a very cute manicure today brought to you by my bestie!

It's just too cute! XD

I've featured some of her lovely nails before here, when I posted about her adorable Panda Nails.

She's just so talented when it comes to doing her nails, and really my nail addiction probably began because of her.

And to top it off she did this all free hand! Isn't that amazing? If only I could be as steady-handed as she :<

Anyways, I think this would be a super cute look for everyday or maybe even Valentines, which is just around the corner! :P It's like adding some fierce to your sugar for that special someone ^_~

If anyone wants to know what polishes she used lemme know and I'll find out :D

Thanks for reading! <3

Glitter Party Pedicure

Hi all ~ Happy Freaky Friday! And to commemorate this date I have something a little different for you guys. Its a Pedicure! :D

I'm actually very lazy about doing my toes so this is like a once in a blue moon special.

I mixed two coats of Wet n' Wild – Sparked with one swipe of Milani Jewel FX – Gold and got this gorgeous result :3

Is it just me or do feet & toes look kinda weird? I once had a friend who could not look at people's bare feet, so if you are reading this...I'm Sorry! Look AWAY! :P

Its funny, for how obsessed I am about changing my manicures every week, I'm the total opposite for my toes.

I usually only paint them when I'm going to a special event/party and will be wearing peep-toe heels. So unfortunately these babies will stay this way until they have practically all chipped off >_>;;;

Anyone else lazy like me? Or are you equally fastidious about mani's and pedi's? :P

Finally here’s a little artistic bonus! While I was trying to photograph the nail polish bottles I got this uber close up of the nail lacquer bottles. Looks like city lights ~

Bows & Dots French Mani

Happy New Years!!!

Sorry for the hiatus everyone but hope you all had a Happy Holiday season!

Anyways, I figured since its a new year better get my butt back in gear and start this blog up again! Now that holiday madness is over I'm ready to return to my regular blogging schedule :3 And hope ya'll will continue enjoying lacquered luxury with me.
So without further ado, I present to you my Bows & Dots French manicure!
These were the nails I had for my birthday, so I thought the bows would be fitting ^_^ Of course due to my polka dot obsession had to add some of those in too.
I started out with two coats of Essie's coral pink in Tart Deco.
I spent ages looking for the perfect summer coral color and trust me folks this is definitely it.
I then did french tips in this soft, baby pink color by Sally Hansen, Insta-Dri – Pink Blink. Followed up with the adorable bow tip on Konad stamp plate m56 in Insta-Dri – Night Flight. And to top it all off I added white dots in Sephora by O.P.I – A-ha! Moment.
Overall, I'm super happy with how these turned out. Kinda reminds me of wrapping paper and presents.
And maybe it was like a good luck token, because I definitely got many great gifts for both my birthday and Christmas!!! *Hohoho*
So thanks for being patient with me and cheers to a New Year filled with many more cute nails for us all!!!
